Quiche Lorraine Traditionnelle Cooking Class 2016

For 6 people

Ingredients:

• Flour 2 cups
• Butter 1 stick +1 Tablespoon
• Egg yolk 1
• Salt
• Pepper
• Milk 1 cup
• Heavy cream 1 cup
• Egg whole 2
• Bacon bits/ham 1 cup
• Nutmeg 1 pinch

 Mix the flour with the melted butter.
 Add the yolk, a pinch of salt, and the water.
 Mix again the dough and shape it into a ball.
 Let it rest in the refrigerator for one hour.
 Preheat the oven at 400ᵒ F.
 Whisk in a bowl: the milk, the cream, the eggs, pepper, and the nutmeg.
 Fry the bacon/ham until crisp.
 Let it drain on paper towel.
 Add to the mixture
 Roll the dough and place it in a round 20 cm dish.
 Pour the mixture into the dish.
 Bake for approx. 15 – 20 minutes.
 Let it cool for 5 minutes and serve.
