Pomegranate Walnut Sauce by Giti

A sauce to accompany a roast or a turkey.

1 lb Walnuts
Brown Sugar to taste
Pomegranate Paste Jar – find at middle eastern market
1 medium Brown Onion

Prepare pan with 2 tbsp olive oil

Crush and fry the onion until soft and golden.

Finely grate walnuts in a food processor to a chunky yet smooth consistency.

Mix together very well for 5 minutes

Boil 2 to 3 cups water in a saucepan

Add the onions to the walnuts

Cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour

Add half of the pomegranate paste can to the mixture

Add brown sugar for a sweet taste

Enjoy after 20 minutes set time
