Mexican Flan

From Ms. Guille Gaytan

1 condensed sugar milk can

1 can condensed milk

½ cream cheese stick

5 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup of sugar

Blend all ingredients but the sugar.

For the caramel: In a saucepan you mix the sugar at medium heat until it melts and becomes caramelized.

Pour the caramel in a deep round baking pan.

Then pour the mix on top. Cover with Aluminum paper.

Place your filled deep round baking pan into a big saucepan filled with approx. 1 ½ inch of water.

Cook on the stove at medium heat for approx. one hour, or until the custard is getting hard.

When ready take it out and let cool your deep round baking pan in a safe place.

After 20 minutes, turn the flan carefully out of the pan so that the caramel is on the top.
