Homemade Meatballs

Homemade Meatballs
(With tomato sauce and spaghettis)

By: Corinne Madelmont

Crumbs (from white bread pack)

Milk

Grated Parmesan

1 bunch Green onions

Basil leaves

2 Garlic cloves

3 Eggs

Pepper

Turkey sausages, or 1 lb ground beef (7%fat)

Heat oven at 350°. In a bowl mix crumbs with milk. It should not be too soggy! Let it sit for 5 minutes. Mix Parmesan, chopped green onions, basil, 2 eggs, minced garlic, and pepper. Add the meat. Make little balls. It takes approximately 20 minutes to cook the meatballs.

Spaghetti sauce:

2 large garlic cloves, finely chopped

Pinch of crushed red pepper

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt

In a large skillet, cook the garlic and red pepper in the oil over medium heat until the garlic is golden, about 1 minute. Add the tomatoes, oregano, and salt to taste. Bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 to 15 minutes.

Cook the pasta until just al dente. Drain well; add the meatballs, the sauce, and grated Parmesan on the top. Enjoy!
