Friday’s All in One Linguine

• 1 package linguine
• 1 Lb garden halved or quartered cherry or little tomatoes
• 1 onion thinly sliced
• 4 cloves garlic thinly sliced
• 1/2 teaspoon red-pepper flakes
• Fresh torn basil leaves
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• salt and pepper
• 41/2 cups water
• Grated Parmesan cheese

1. In a large pot, combine pasta, tomatoes, onion, garlic, red-pepper flakes, basil, oil, 2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and water.

2. Bring to a boil over high heat.
3. Boil mixture, stirring and turning pasta frequently with tongs, until pasta is al dente and water has nearly evaporated, about 9 minutes.
4. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
5. Serve with oil and Parmesan.
