In September, 1939, a 17 year old boy was forced to flee with his family from the Nazi Invasion in Poland, only to find himself caught in the vice of the Nazi occupation in France. Being a true story, it tells of Bogdan Broniewski’s struggle to adapt from a life of privilege and leisure belonging to one of Poland’s wealthiest families, to a life full of suffering and peril. The young man’s remarkable determination to succeed and survive during World War II brings you back in time to a place where losing everything and enduring constant starvation were normal aspects of life. A gripping memoir of hardships, written by Bogdan Broniewski and edited and revised by Constance Haddad comes together to educate and inspire readers with their new book, Poland Adieu, set to be released in November 2010.
